These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by LockShield ("we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. About LockShield

Operating Name: LockShield
Jurisdiction: England, United Kingdom

LockShield is an independent hosting project operated by individuals and is not a registered company.

LockShield primarily provides:

  • Discord bot hosting
  • Limited website hosting
  • Access to hosting management panels and related infrastructure

2. Eligibility

To use LockShield services, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Meet Discord’s minimum age requirements
  • Have legal capacity to agree to these Terms

If you are under 18 years old, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Service Description

LockShield provides:

  • Discord bot hosting
  • Website hosting (where permitted)
  • Pterodactyl and client panel access
  • File management access
  • Console access
  • Database access
  • Backup functionality on eligible plans

LockShield does not:

  • Develop your bot or website (unless partnered)
  • Manage your application data
  • Take responsibility for your hosted code or content

You are solely responsible for:

  • Your code
  • Databases
  • Uploaded files
  • Bot activity
  • Website content
  • Compliance with applicable laws and platform rules

4. Permitted Usage

Services must only be used for their intended purpose.

Examples:

  • Discord Bot Hosting plans may only host Discord bots
  • Website Hosting plans may only host websites or web applications

Using services outside their intended purpose may result in suspension or termination.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may NOT use LockShield services to:

  • Violate applicable laws or regulations
  • Distribute malware, spyware, or malicious code
  • Host phishing pages or credential theft systems
  • Operate botnets or command-and-control systems
  • Host token grabbers or account stealers
  • Conduct scams or fraudulent activity
  • Run DDoS/stresser services
  • Host VPN or proxy services
  • Mine cryptocurrency
  • Run Discord selfbots
  • Operate spam or mass-DM systems
  • Host NSFW or adult content
  • Store or distribute copyrighted or pirated material
  • Circumvent Discord’s Terms of Service or Developer Policies

Violation of these Terms may result in:

  • Immediate suspension
  • Permanent termination
  • IP bans
  • Reporting to relevant authorities

6. Monitoring and Abuse Prevention

LockShield does not actively monitor all hosted content.

However, we reserve the right to inspect files, services, logs, or hosted content where abuse, malicious activity, illegal activity, or Terms violations are suspected.

LockShield may:

  • Restrict resource usage
  • Suspend services
  • Remove hosted content
  • Terminate accounts

without prior notice where necessary to protect platform stability or security.

7. Shared Infrastructure & Fair Usage

All LockShield services operate on shared infrastructure.

Users must use resources responsibly and avoid negatively impacting other users or system stability.

Excessive or abusive usage may include:

  • Constant excessive CPU usage
  • Unreasonable RAM consumption
  • Excessive disk or database usage
  • Running unauthorized workloads
  • Activities causing instability to shared infrastructure

To maintain service quality, LockShield may:

  • Temporarily throttle services
  • Apply resource limitations
  • Request optimization changes
  • Suspend abusive services

These measures are intended to maintain platform stability for all users.

8. Free Plan Limitations

Free plans may include:

  • Lower support priority
  • Reduced resource allocations
  • Limited or unavailable backups
  • Shared resource scheduling
  • Temporary performance limitations during high-demand periods

LockShield does not guarantee uninterrupted performance on free plans.

9. Data Responsibility & Backups

You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining backups
  • Protecting your data
  • Preserving your hosted files and databases

LockShield performs infrastructure-level maintenance only.

We do not guarantee:

  • Data preservation
  • Backup availability
  • Recovery of deleted or corrupted data

Users should maintain their own backups at all times.

10. Service Availability

LockShield services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee:

  • 100% uptime
  • Uninterrupted access
  • Error-free service
  • Permanent availability of free plans

Downtime may occur due to:

  • Maintenance
  • Infrastructure failures
  • Security incidents
  • Third-party outages
  • Network issues

11. Discord Compliance

Users hosting Discord bots must comply with:

  • Discord Terms of Service
  • Discord Developer Terms
  • Discord Community Guidelines

LockShield is not responsible for actions taken by Discord against your account, bot, or application.

12. Inactive Accounts and Services

LockShield reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove inactive accounts or services after approximately twelve (12) months of inactivity.

This may include deletion of:

  • Files
  • Databases
  • Backups
  • Associated hosted content

13. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate services:

  • Without notice for severe abuse
  • With notice for less severe violations
  • If required by law
  • If infrastructure stability or security is threatened

Upon termination, hosted data may be permanently deleted.

14. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of:

  • Your code
  • Your databases
  • Your uploaded content

LockShield retains ownership of:

  • Infrastructure
  • Panel systems
  • Branding
  • Website content

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, LockShield shall not be liable for:

  • Data loss
  • Downtime
  • Lost profits
  • Service interruptions
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Third-party actions

Your use of LockShield services is entirely at your own risk.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LockShield from any claims, damages, liabilities, or legal actions arising from:

  • Your hosted content
  • Your bot or website activity
  • Violations of laws
  • Violations of Discord policies
  • Breaches of these Terms

17. Privacy

Use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

18. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England.

19. Changes to These Terms

LockShield may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
