These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LockShield’s hosting services.

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

Operating Name: LockShield
Jurisdiction: England, United Kingdom
Infrastructure Location: Germany (EU)

LockShield provides Discord bot hosting infrastructure via Pterodactyl and CtrlPanel.

2. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 13 years old

  • Meet Discord’s minimum age requirements

  • Have legal capacity to agree to these Terms

If you are under 18, you must have parental/guardian permission.

3. Service Description

LockShield provides:

  • Discord bot hosting

  • Server resource allocation (CPU, RAM, storage)

  • Access to hosting panels (Pterodactyl / CtrlPanel)

We do not:

  • Develop your bot

  • Manage your bot’s data

  • Take responsibility for how your bot operates

You are fully responsible for all content, code, and data hosted on your allocated server.

By purchasing or using Discord Bot Hosting, you agree that the service will be used solely to host and operate a Discord bot.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You may NOT use LockShield services to:

  • Violate any UK, EU, or international law

  • Distribute malware, spyware, or malicious code

  • Perform DDoS attacks or network abuse

  • Host phishing pages

  • Store or distribute illegal content

  • Conduct scams or fraudulent activity

  • Mine cryptocurrency (unless explicitly allowed)

  • Run automated attacks or exploit scripts

  • Circumvent Discord’s Terms of Service

Violation may result in:

  • Immediate suspension

  • Permanent termination

  • IP banning

  • Reporting to relevant authorities

5. Resource Usage

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend servers exceeding allocated resources

  • Limit excessive CPU usage

  • Terminate services that impact infrastructure stability

Abuse of system resources may result in termination.

6. Data Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Your bot code

  • Databases

  • Stored user data

  • Backups you create

We perform infrastructure-level maintenance, but:

  • We do not guarantee data preservation

  • We are not liable for data loss

  • You should maintain your own backups

7. Service Availability

We aim to provide stable hosting, but we do not guarantee:

  • 100% uptime

  • Uninterrupted access

  • Error-free service

Maintenance, hardware failure, or third-party issues may cause downtime.

8. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your service:

  • Without notice for severe abuse

  • With notice for minor violations

  • If required by law

  • If infrastructure stability is threatened

You may stop using the service at any time.

9. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of:

  • Your bot code

  • Your databases

  • Your hosted content

LockShield retains ownership of:

  • Infrastructure

  • Panel systems

  • Branding

  • Website content

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under UK law:

LockShield shall not be liable for:

  • Data loss

  • Service downtime

  • Lost profits

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Third-party actions (including Discord API changes)

Hosting is provided “as is” and “as available”.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LockShield from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from:

  • Your hosted content

  • Your bot’s activity

  • Violation of laws

  • Violation of Discord’s Terms

12. Changes to Service

We may:

  • Modify resource limits

  • Change infrastructure

  • Discontinue free hosting

  • Introduce paid plans in the future

We will update these Terms if significant changes occur.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Privacy

Use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
